Chinese New Year

Yuantan

Chinese people celebrate New Year in January or February... They call it Yuantan. They celebrate New Year with a special dinner with their family. They often eat fish, chicken, noodles and rice. Chinese people celebrate New Year with a display of fireworks and with a dragon dance. The fireworks and dragon dance are very beautiful.

When I lived in China the fireworks were colorfull and the drango was red.

They make dragons with bamboo and paper.

There are celebrations for many days.
